Terre Alte Laghi

You will take this route in several, either in peace with friends or with the whole family, on the military road recently restored that develops between fascinating glimpses and beautiful views over Lake Maggiore, the Po Valley, the Monte Rosa Massif and the Swiss Alps.

Walk the entire route or choose to stop at Pianpuzzo at the intersection of the two rings: you will find a sunny meadow and a basin of water to refresh you.

Here you can choose between the sunny southern side or the northern side at the cool shade of the beech trees: in any case this is a “Slow Panorama”!

Once you left the car in Colle follow the military flat road recently restored up to Pian d'Arla where it is possible to see the reckless launchings of the "Lagomaggiore Zipline".

Continue up to Pianpuzzo, where the military building of the "Ospedaletti" has recently been restored.

At Pianpuzzo prepare yourself for the change of slope: on the north side, going slightly uphill, the landscape changes definitely.

Here the harsh natural environment of the Cannobina Valley is under you and you will soon reach Archia.

Continuing you will reach Passo Folungo, returning on the southern side, still on the military trail that slightly going downhill reaches alpe Biogna and goes back to Pianpuzzo.

Take on the left and you will be again on the northern side and then on a forest track you reach Pian d'Alpe from where after walking through a beautiful beech forest you will be back in Colle.
